Straight Through My Heart

So many days gone by & I have not been to the zoo,my first thought when I & Ganesh were co-ordinating with one another for the World Earth Day event at the Byculla Zoo.Just every single time that we visit the zoo those childhood memories flash in front of me, every single day I was taken to the zoo by my aunt, how instrumental she was for me & my love for animals. All the zoo residents Elephants,Bears,Lion & the lioness leopards & the tiger, I knew all the nick names of the animals when I look back at those days I feel like a dream.I was living a dream then, quite obviously that today there are no leopards, no tigers, no bears(except for a young female),they all have gone, died, the fact that zoo is a place where the animals can thrive for a conservation purpose but there is no denying that it is no less than a refuge for them, they definitely aren't thriving but they are striving. Ashok the leopard had a few injuries due to the visitors who greeted this big cat with pebbles, also flashing of lasers was a very frequent way of commanding the nocturnal feline to move for the visitors, tiger the most unfortunate animal on earth , undoubtedly the most unfortunate, the stripes it wears makes it the most poached & harrassed (in case of the zoo), the male bear , bears are omnivores they go occasionaly fishing or climbing up trees for some honey combs or fruits, as a kid i never understood why the hell people fed the male bear with CHAKLI & GHAATIYA.The leopards, the tiger, the male bear all of them gone,If it was hate or extreme human expectations or a human dominance or cowardice to threaten a caged leopard or was just a mere fatal attraction rather obssession for someone's stripes, the fate the tiger meets with,or is it just the strangulating love with all those FRIED ELEMENTS which may make the bears loose their fur......Be it anything all of them are gone now............As a kid I knew some animals very well ANITA the lioness who died recently at the zoo hospital, strangely I could connect with her so very well & when it was her last days when I was beside her and she seem so much like the GIR LIONS basking in her glory was always great.LAXMI the old pachyderm she is of the age of a Matriarch now she was there when I used as a kid used to visit the zoo

A trail to Tungareshwar

Tungareshwar a wonderful place to visit.
It was a Sunday & it was the first ever trail that I attended in Tungareshwar. Truly it is a mesmerizing place to visit, with the monsoon month that was on the forest looked greener & more wet, luckily rains stayed away for us we stayed dry with only feet wet for we had crossed streams.
Back to the trail the most exciting sight of the day was a little Vine snake that we saw on a twig with such beautiful eyes with horizontal pupil.

Till it was 9am in the morning we had seen a large amount of butterflies from the time we started around 8am i.e.

Just recalled it was long back in my baby days where I was mere 8 to 9 years of age & used to go to the byculla zoo often with my aunt.
Well then it was almost a ten years earlier, it was half past four & it was time for anita to roar to call out to amar..........
Anita by the way was the lioness at the zoo though & amar the male african lion....
but with every roar that i heard everyday at half past four made me belong more towards the lioness.
Now that she is no more though I still feel she was the most gorgeous lioness i had ever seen & she would always be my childhood sweetheart especially after the last time that i saw her before her death, how could i forget that i held her tight with a wooden rod so that she doesn't get up & she was being given medicines & a bottle of saline over that creature for its survival, just a feet away from this glorious lioness.........

Few days ago i jst saw fondled a cat in my college campus definitely it wasn't the first time i fondled someone bt i noticed something worth noticing.
We fondle,we intend to fondle ,we dream to fondle something which we think is worth fondling.
we fondled over loved ones to show we care, the thing worth noticing is that cats do not have reputation as their bigger cousins or big cats to rumble their bigger preys to death,so definitely they can be fondled,i did so i loved it ,the cat did & both struck of well.
if we in our life think that our wildlife is to be fondled with conservation & we end up doing so selflessly we achieve treasures worth everything.
Just feel people that they need to be fondled with conservation 'THEY DON'T DESERVE IT' people 'THEY NEED IT'.
